New York, NY; May 6, 2010 – Zap on Demand™, a leading edge Interactive Television (iTV) development company recently tested its flagship advanced advertising application, ZapTV2Mobile at Cable Labs. The testing was conducted on the most prevalent EBIF user agents demonstrating a consistent experience across a variety of set-top boxes. Zap on Demand’s end-to-end cross-platform solution can enable the transfer of content from iTV to the mobile platform using a set-top box remote control.
“Our goal is to provide iTV applications that engage television viewers. TV advertising enhanced with our Zap TV2Mobile application adds value to any media buy, is ready to deploy, and can be measured in real time,” said Clayton Banks, Founder and CEO of ZaponDemand, LLC
ZapTV2Mobile’s patent-pending iTV technology is the first to empower a consumer watching television to receive an offer instantly on their mobile phone. This end-to-end solution is platform and content agnostic and allows advertisers and their network partners to author, publish and deploy an interactive Request For Information (RFI) application.
The consumer enters his/her cell phone number to instantaneously receive an offer on their mobile phone for immediate fulfillment. By delivering the RFI instantly via SMS or MMS, Zap TV2Mobile provides both a low-cost and green opt-in solution that promises a higher rate of redemption. It cuts out printing and mailing costs and makes the offer conveniently portable. The ease of use, measurability, lead generation and revenue producing potential makes it perfect for coupons & special offers, recipes, contest and sweepstakes entries and enrollment.
During an iTV lab session at Cable Labs, the Zap 2TVMobile™RFI application for EBIF was optimized for universal use across MSOs. It was tested successfully on User Agents from Fourth Wall, Zodiac, Time Warner and TV Works using both Motorola and Cisco/Scientific Atlanta, and Samsung set top boxes. Versions of this application for other iTV platforms are in development.
Zap on Demand will be demonstrating ZapTV2Mobile at the NCTA Cable Show May 11 – 13th, 2010 at the Los Angeles Convention Center in the CableNet Pavilion.
